Jeremy Clarkson has given his support to Kevin Magnussen after the Haas driver was involved in a huge wreckage involving three cars at the Monaco Grand Prix.
The race around Monte-Carlo is one of the tightest street circuits on the F1 calendar with little room for overtaking opportunities.
The first lap is usually where cars try their luck and Magnussen seemingly sensed a chance to get past Sergio Perez into the second corner.
But the two collided with Nico Hulkenberg also being picked up by a spinning Red Bull.
It led to red flags being waved with stewards tasked with a huge clean-up job to get the track ready again.

Martin Brundle made it clear that he felt Magnussen was at fault for the collision at the time.
"It was unnecessary from Kevin Magnussen to keep his car there," Brundle said.
"There was a moment when K-Mag should have abandoned that.
"It was not worth the risk up there. You are fighting at the back against a Red Bull when you are not anywhere near alongside."
However, Clarkson didn't share the same opinion as he felt Magnussen was not in the wrong.
"That wasn’t K Mag’s fault in my opinion," he wrote on X.
"OK. It definitely wasn’t K Mag’s fault. Even Jenson [Button] now agrees."
Button appeared to sit on the fence for who he felt was to blame, although he found it strange that Perez didn't give Magnussen more room.
He said: "It's surprising [Perez] knew [Magnussen] was there and didn't move to the left a little bit more.
"It was a horrible impact and because you're going at such a high speed there you end up about 300 metres away from the incident.

"It's a real strange one. You've got to say both guys should have given each other more room.
"Is it a racing incident? It kind of is because Checo knew Kevin was there and maybe should have given him a little bit more room, but if a car is coming to the right doing 150mph, I'd back out."
Magnussen also felt he should have been given more room by the Mexican as he got up alongside him.

"From my point of view, I had a good part of my front on Perez's rear and when he went to the wall I got pushed to the wall and made contact with him," he said.
"I trusted he was going to leave space for me since I was there. It's not a corner where you're braking into it, it's a bend on the straight so you have to have a car otherwise you leave the other guy no option.
"From my point of view, I was there and I got squeezed to the wall."
