Geri Halliwell puts on a smile as she holds Christian Horner's hand ahead of F1 Bahrain Grand Prix

Earlier in the week, the 50-year-old was cleared by Red Bull after being accused of inappropriate behaviour.

Horner always denied the claims but has now found himself facing more scrutiny after 149 figures of the sport received an email seeming to show his private messages to a female member of staff.

On Friday, Geri jetted out to the Middle East on a private jet.

Reports have claimed the Spice Girls icon made the decision to fly out to Bahrain despite those close to her advising her to stay away.

It has also been suggested Horner's mother wanted Geri to meet her other half in the country as a gesture of support.

Both Geri and Horner seemed to ignore the photographers surrounding them, gripping each other firmly in the process.

Horner was dressed in his Red Bull gear, with Geri looking glamarous in a long white dress.

While Geri was all smiles prior to the race, however, insiders claim she has been left 'humiliated' by the saga surrounding her husband.

A friend of the Spice Girls star told the Daily Mail: "Geri has been living in this happy, happy bubble for so many years now, she thought she had her prince and her knight in shining armour but now this.

"She thought that it had all gone away, she was delighted and over the moon when she learned Christian had been cleared.

"Geri was pilloried when she got together with Christian because he had just had another baby with another woman but she has worked hard to rid that image of herself and Christian, and in particular that she is a homewrecker.

"Now it has all come crashing down. The tears stopped when the judgment came in on Wednesday, now they absolutely will have started again.

"This will destroy her. All along Christian promised there was nothing in it."

Another insider has told The Sun that Geri has shut out other members of the Spice Girls in the wake of the alleged leaks.

“This is humiliation on an international scale for Geri, and it’s almost impossible to imagine what she’s going through right now.

“Christian has always privately asserted that the claims levelled against him were nonsense.

“She’s not the type of woman to go through someone’s phone, so to see these in black and white after all his protestations of innocence is utterly devastating.

“Geri has been bombarded with messages of support, and texts checking in on her, but she’s largely shutting everyone out, and simply trying to put one foot in front of the other."

They continued: “Of course, to leave Christian — and walk away from the blissful life they’ve built for themselves — would be the ultimate act of ‘girl power’.

“But as anyone with kids knows — not to mention a hinterland of love and connection — that is easier said than done.”

Horner, meanwhile, made it clear he continues to deny the claims against him when quizzed on Friday.

And the Red Bull chief also described the alleged leaks as 'anonymous speculation', too.

“I won’t comment on anonymous speculation, but to reiterate, I have always denied the allegations.

"I respected the integrity of the independent investigation and fully cooperated with it every step of the way.

“It was a thorough and fair investigation conducted by an independent specialist barrister and it has concluded, dismissing the complaint made.

"I remain fully focused on the start of the season.”
