The 20-year-old was too strong for the Serb at the All England Tennis Club last month

Carlos Alcaraz has revealed he keeps his new Wimbledon trophy in his living room at home.

The 20-year-old was able to end Novak Djokovic's dominance of the competition by beating the Serb in five sets at Centre Court last month.

Alcaraz was joyous at the end of the contest, with the Spaniard posing with his golden, glittering new prize.

And the world No 1, speaking to the official ATP website, has now revealed he keeps the trophy in his living room at home.

"I have the trophy in my living room over there [so] that every time that I have lunch, have dinner with my family, I see the trophy," he said.

"It's something that I [don’t want] to forget."

On his sensational triumph, the youngster added: "I had just a week to think about it. I had not too much time.

"And I think I needed a little bit more because it's something that is crazy to realise.

"Honestly, for me, winning Wimbledon at 20 years old is something that I dreamed about when I started playing tennis.

"It was my fourth tournament on grass, so it was totally unexpected."

Alcaraz is now focusing on the upcoming US Open.

The Spaniard won the competition last year, beating Casper Ruud in four sets to secure a first major of his career.

Before then, however, Alcaraz is set to compete in the National Bank Open in Canada as he steps up his preparations for the final Grand Slam of the year.

Last year, he was beaten by Tommy Paul in three sets at the Canadian Open.

And Alcaraz is determined to fare better this year, with the Wimbledon champion hoping to claim a 13th title of his short career.

"I remember that I [did] not [have] a good run last year in Canada," he continued.

"I came this year to change it, hopefully to have a good run, better than last year.

"But one year later, I think I learned a lot from that situation on how to deal with the pressure, how to deal [with] everything.

"It's great to be here. I had my first practice today with [Daniil] Medvedev and I felt the love from the people.

"They were screaming, ‘Carlitos. let's go! Come on!’ It was my first practice and my first time here in Toronto, so it was special."

Alcaraz is also motivated by the prospect of winning more Grand Slams as he looks to dominate tennis for years to come.

“I know that everything came so fast. Great tournaments, two Grand Slams, and I’m just 20 years old," he said.

"I know that I'm so young.

“It’s something that I worked to be in this position to fight for great things. But you never realise until you’ve done it.
