The Gypsy King was forced to pull out of the original date, scheduled for February 17, after suffering a cut above his eye in training.
There were some fears that the fight between Fury and Usyk would not take place until the end of the year when the Riydah Season gets back underway.
But it was confirmed on Saturday night that the bout would be rescheduled for May 18.
Both Fury and Usyk jumped on a call with Ariel Helwani to discuss the new date with the talk getting heated between both camps.

At one stage, Fury focused his ire towards Usyk's manager, Egis Kilmas, over remarks he made about his wife, Paris.
“Fury is a f***ing coward who will do anything not to face Usyk," Kilmas said immediately after the news of Fury's injury.
"And he asked his b***h to hit him with a frying pan in his brow. You can quote me word for word for that.
”Fury brought up the remarks during the interview with Helwani and aimed a clear threat to Usyk's manager.
"Never call me a coward again," Fury began.
"I have had 35 professional fights in my life, I have been boxing 18 years, I've climbed off the canvas ten times against the biggest punchers in history to win.
"Never a coward, never backed down from any man in my life.
"If anyone calls my wife a b****, I'll take their f****ing teeth out."

Kilmas appeared to then backtrack on his previous remarks, denying he ever said it.
He responded: "I didn't call your wife a b***h."
Fury then replied: "Well, I'll apologise for that then because I thought you were talking about my wife - but never call me a coward.
