Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk will face one another again in the ring on December 21

The highly anticipated heavyweight rematch between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk in Saudi Arabia is set to see both fighters compete for a staggering £150 million purse.

The December 21 showdown will feature a prize fund that eclipses their previous encounter by £45 million.

The substantial increase comes just months after their first clash in May, where Usyk claimed victory to become the undisputed heavyweight champion.

In their first encounter, the purse was reported to be around £115 million, with Fury securing the lion's share of the earnings.

The Gypsy King took home an estimated £85 million after reaching an agreement for a larger cut of the prize money.

Despite emerging victorious in the May clash, Usyk collected a significantly smaller sum of approximately £30 million.

While the exact split of the £150 million purse remains unconfirmed, Usyk is expected to command a larger share this time around.

The Ukrainian's position as the A-side of the rematch, following his victory in May, is likely to result in a more favourable financial arrangement.

This marks a significant shift from the previous fight's distribution, where Usyk, despite his eventual triumph, received less than half of Fury's earnings.

Fury has already made his intentions clear for the upcoming bout, emphasising his aggressive strategy.
