The 58-year-old is currently preparing for his blockbuster comeback to the sport

Mike Tyson has revealed his son, Amir Tyson, will be part of Netflix's commentary team for his upcoming bout with Jake Paul next week.

The two Americans will do battle at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on Friday night - with fans from all over the world poised to tune in.

Netflix have been promoting the showdown as it rapidly appoaches and, now, it's been confirmed that Amir will be part of their commentary line-up - meaning he'll be able to offer unique insight about the spectacle.

Taking to social media to share a poster for the clash, Tyson said: "My son, @amir_j_tyson will be part of the comentating (sic) team for fight week."

In addition to Amir featuring, Andre Ward and Roy Jones Jr will also be part of the team.

Kate Scott is set to present the big event, while Sibley Scholes, Kody Mommaerts, Rosie Perez, Mauro Ranallo, Sean Wheelock and Ariel Helwani will all be airing their thoughts as well.

The clash between Tyson and Paul is, however, a controversial one.

Given the huge age gap between the pair (Tyson is 58, with Paul 27), many figures within the boxing world are unhappy.

And Carl Froch, speaking exclusively to GB News, has alleged that it's 'written in the contract' that Paul 'can't lose'.

There is, however, nothing to substantiate those claims.

"I think it's a scripted fight and will last three or four rounds. Jake Paul will definitely win; Tyson might start well but then he'll fall over," he said.

"Paul can't lose. It's in the contract, he can't lose. He is a useless w****r."

When asked if Tyson losing would potentially damage his legacy, he continued: "I don't think so, no.

"I think he's unlikely to grab the microphone and start bragging after beating up an old man. If he does, he really does have more deluded energy than I thought.

"Mike Tyson is an iconic name after what he achieved in the sport when he was physically fit and capable, but not at the age of 58.

"I don't think Jake can take any credit, but I'm sure he will.

"I'm sure he'll tell everyone until their ears are bleeding that he's beaten Mike Tyson.

"A lot of his young demographic of fans and kids will have heard of Tyson, but they won't know about what he achieved back in the day, that he was the youngest ever heavyweight champion.

"He wasn't the best to ever do it, he got beat a few times.

"He retired in his early 40s, which was way too late. He's now nearly 60; that tells you everything you need to know.

"He's still fighting 20 years after retiring against this Tik-Tok dancer who calls himself Jake Paul, and they sanction it as a professional fight? It's pathetic, it's two-minute rounds.

"Professional boxing is three-minute rounds, and Jake Paul, to my knowledge, doesn't have a pro license.

"Maybe he does, and maybe he could get hold of one. He could be a journeyman on the circuit at best. It's not a professional boxing match, it's a clown show in clown world, and it makes money.

"In the world we live in, if it makes money, then it makes sense."
