The 27-year-old has opened up as their clash creeps closer

Jake Paul says Mike Tyson's coaches have been talking up the boxing icon as their controversial showdown rapidly approaches.

The two men will do battle at the AT&T Stadium in Texas on November 15, with Netflix set to stream the clash to millions around the world.

The bout is a controversial one due to the huge age gap between the two men. Tyson is 58, whereas Paul is 27.

There are serious concerns that Tyson, consequently, could suffer serious damage when he goes up against a man 31 years his junior.

The boxing icon has been regularly uploading training footage over the past few weeks to downplay any fears over his health.

And Paul, speaking to Channel Nine, has revealed Tyson's coaches have claimed he's been dropping people in sparring behind the scenes.

"Tyson is dropping people in sparring, he looks the best shape he's been in, that's what his coaches are saying," Paul said.

"I plan on outboxing him and showing the world what I'm capable of. It's going to be a war.

"He's one of the most famous boxers in the world to ever do it, he and Muhammad Ali, so to step in there with someone of his nature is an honour and a dream come true and it's going to be a spectacle and one of the most entertaining nights the sport has ever seen.

"I was born to do this and I will be world champion."

Paul also touched upon his own legacy.

Some feel he's in a 'lose-lose' situation. If he wins, many will downplay the achievement given how old Tyson is. Should he lose, his reputation and standing in the sport will suffer a massive blow.

But Paul believes he will be remembered as one of the best boxers of all time if he's able to come out on top.

"People think I'm this nice smiley social media content creator. I like to have fun but I'm a killer," continued the 27-year-old.

"This is what I was bred to do, this is my destiny.

"I will stop him and become the face of boxing. Whether people hate that or love it they're going to have to accept it.
