Ben Whittaker was reportedly involved in an incident at the airport on his way back to the UK where he 'smashed a fan's phone' before being taken away by security.
The 27-year-old has kept a low profile since the controversial ending to his fight against Liam Cameron on Saturday.
Whittaker appeared to be on the verge of his first defeat as a professional boxer when both fighters fell over the top rope in a bizarre incident.
Cameron was able to get back to his feet to indicate he was ready to continue, but Whittaker picked up an injury that forced the fight to be stopped.

The fight was called a split-decision technical draw and Cameron was visibly frustrated as he stood in the ring when the scorecards were announced.
Whittaker was not in the arena as he had been taken away in a wheelchair to hospital to further assess his injuries.
He's now been spotted at the airport on his way back to the UK where he is said to have been involved in an incident with a fan who recognised him.
Whittaker was seen hobbling with his right ankle strapped up and is said to have taken exception to the person filming him.
A witness of the confrontation said the IBF light-heavyweight champion ended up smashing the person's phone.
They told The Sun: "I spotted Ben Whittaker coming through security and then a fan who had a boxing T-shirt on went up with his phone and went to take a photo.
"Ben said 'don’t take no photos of me' and snatched the phone out of his hand and smashed it straight on the floor.
"Ben stepped towards him, looked like he was gonna punch him and some of Ben’s team jumped in between them and it got really heated - they were shouting at each other."

Both were said to have been taken away by airport security before they parted ways.
Whittaker apologised to the fan after the fracas and has promised to pay for the broken phone.
“This was a really unfortunate event and I’m grateful to the gentleman that he sat down to talk about it straight afterwards and accepted my apology," he said.

Whittaker's promoter, Ben Shalom, revealed that the British boxer suffered a sprain to his right ankle from the incident on Saturday and a suspected neck injury.
