Jake Paul's mother 'very scared' after watching Mike Tyson footage ahead of controversial boxing fight

Jake Paul has revealed his mother is 'very scared' as he prepares to fight Mike Tyson later in the year.
The 27-year-old has been widely criticised for agreeing to fight Tyson who, at the age of 58, is a staggering 31 years his senior.
The boxing legend's last fight came back in 2020, when his draw with Roy Jones Jr ended in a draw.
Tyson has been working hard in the gym and posting footage of himself hitting pads on social media to show he still possesses the power of old.

And Paul, speaking to talkSPORT, has revealed his mother is 'very scared' as the clash approaches.
"They will definitely be there," he said when asked if his mother and girlfriend, Jutta Leerdam, would be present the bout.
"But my mum is very scared actually.
"She keeps on asking me if I'm ready, asking my team if I'm if I'm ready and she's not liking this one.

"Mike just looks scary and big... his Instagram videos look crazy.
"So she's like watching all of that and just not liking it."
Paul is set to earn a massive £31million when he goes up against Tyson, whose own earnings aren't currently known.
Paul has pocketed around £75.8m from his boxing career so far, despite being relatively new to the sport.

But the former YouTuber and Disney channel star is trying to remain grounded. When asked about his earnings, he added: "Not bad at all, man, I can't believe it.
"I've already exceeded all my own expectations in life and boxing and everything.
"So whatever happens next is just gravy and I'm just having fun with it and trying to inspire other kids because I'm literally from Ohio.
"Middle of this town grew up with a blue collar family and didn't know what any of this world is.

"And so it really shows like if you want to do something, you just gotta go for it."
Hollywood star Russell Crowe, meanwhile, has admitted he's unsure if Tyson will be able to wind back time when he returns to the ring later this year.
Speaking on the Joe Rogan podcast earlier this week, he said: "The thing is, I was quite enjoying the second phase of Mike’s life.
"I was terrified of him as a boxer. He was terrifying.

"Even when I met him backstage at a stadium one time at a fight, I was like ‘I’m still terrified of you’.
“Then that guy he started becoming where he became more explorative and he was looking into what the meaning of life is and having a smoke every now and then? I was like, ‘I’m enjoying this Mike, I’m liking the evolution’.
“What bothers me with this whole thing is that he’s got to kind of slide back into that warrior and I’m just not sure that he needed to do it.”
