Reports in Germany say Thomas Tuchel was recently given a strict warning by the Bayern Munich board.
The 50-year-old is currently preparing the Bundesliga giants for their crunch Champions League clash with Manchester United on Wednesday night.
Bayern go into that game as the strong favourites to win, especially given United's poor form during the early stages of the campaign.
Tuchel's side have been impressive so far this season, winning three of their four league games.

Yet all isn't well behind the scenes, according to Bild.
They say that Tuchel was recently warned by the Bayern hierarchy that his conduct was 'erratic' after he missed out on players back in the summer.
Bayern were able to acquire Harry Kane, with the England skipper touching down from Tottenham.
However, Tuchel was aggrieved after failing to bring in the likes of Declan Rice and Joao Palinha.
Rice ended up moving to Arsenal from West Ham, while Palinha stayed at Fulham after the Cottagers were left with little time to bring in a replacement.
The publication says the Bayern board have instructed Tuchel to be less negative and emotional when publicly discussing his side.
They are also worried that some of his comments could upset players, leading to disharmony behind the scenes.
Tuchel has been warned he must change his ways in order to stay at the club for the long term.
And it'll now be interesting to see how Bayern fare when they lock horns with United in their Champions League opener tonight.
Tuchel won't be on the touchline for the match at the Allianz Arena.
And that's because the 50-year-old is serving a one-match suspension.
Tuchel was punished by UEFA after being sent off during Bayern's 1-1 draw with Manchester City back in April.
City ended up going through at the expense of his side, with Pep Guardiola's team proceeding to lift the trophy in June.
Tuchel was asked about United's erratic form this term prior to tonight's game.
And he played down the way they've started the campaign, insisting they're a team that remain 'extremely dangerous'.
"Your start to the season doesn't say much. They were never really out of the game against Brighton either," he said.
"They have a lot of individual quality and are extremely dangerous.
"I felt with Man Utd there was always a lot of noise, a lot of pundits are ex-players from Man Utd, you have this legacy from Sir Alex Ferguson, which creates a lot of pressure.
"It tells you you work at a big club, big expectations."
On his signing of Kane back in the summer, who had been linked with United, he added: "It's a big thing, we took the skipper of England out of England.

"Anyone looking for a No 9 would've been happy to have Harry in the team.
"He makes the team better and gives you what you want from a man.
"He can drop deep, turn, use speed of players around him, he can arrive in the box at the right time, he's an excellent finisher and good penalty taker.
"I'm not sure what's going on at other clubs but we're more than happy that he finally took the decision and came to make us better."
