Rudy Giuliani has weighed in on Prince Harry’s place in the Royal Family as Prince William’s popularity continues to grow among Americans.
Giuliani, 79, who revealed he “loves the monarchy” despite his republican inclinations, spoke to GB News about several leading figures in the Firm.
When asked about the Duke of Sussex’s position post-Megxit, the ex-Big Apple Mayor said: “I’m very sad with what happened with Harry.”
The father-of-two and his wife Meghan Markle relocated to California after stepping down as working members of the Royal Family in 2020.
The Sussexes have remained prominent following the release of the couple’s Netflix docuseries last year and Prince Harry’s Megxit memoir 'Spare' in January.
There has been growing speculation that the Duchess of Sussex could one day launch an election campaign.
A recent opinion poll by Democracy Institute found 25 per cent of Democrat Party voters said the actress-turned-royal would be best for the job in the list of potential female runners.

Prince William is also a highly-regarded figure with American voters.
The Prince of Wales came out on top as the most unifying figure in the US, with 59 per cent of voters giving him a favourable rating.
The father-of-three was in New York last week for the Earthshot Prize.
Giuliani was keen to express his support for the future King.
He told GB News: “I mean they [Americans] sure became fans of his mum.
“He seems to have the same grace, the same dignity, and so does his wife.
“I think Americans will see the value of that.”
