The Queen is believed to have 'particularly disliked' the way the former US president looked over her shoulder
Queen Elizabeth II is said to have found Donald Trump "very rude", a new book about the late monarch has claimed.
The Queen "particularly disliked" the way the former US president looked over her shoulder as if "in search of others more interesting", according to a royal author.
In Craig Brown's new book, A Voyage Around The Queen, he also said the former head of state questioned "some sort of arrangement" between Trump and his wife Melania.
Brown claims that "weeks after" one of Trump's visits from the US, the conversation was noted at a lunch.
"Over the course of her reign, Her Majesty entertained many controversial foreign leaders, including Bashar al-Assad, Robert Mugabe, Idi Amin, Donald Trump, Emperor Hirohito and Vladimir Putin," the author wrote in the Daily Mail.
"She may not have found their company convivial; upon their departure, she may even have voiced a discreet word of disapproval.
"A few weeks after President Trump's visit, for instance, she confided in one lunch guest that she found him 'very rude': she particularly disliked the way he couldn't stop looking over her shoulder, as though in search of others more interesting.
"She also believed President Trump 'must have some sort of arrangement' with his wife Melania, or else why would she have remained married to him?"

His trip to London was classed as a "working visit" and not a "state visit".
The memorable visit saw Trump repeatedly walking in front of the late Queen as they watched the guard of honour.
He is also said to have kept the then 92-year-old sovereign waiting for ten minutes in 27C heat.
The Republican presidential candidate boasted to Fox News about his "great relationship with the Queen", he added: "We were laughing and having fun. And her people said she hasn't had so much fun in 25 years".
