Mike Tindall has given an insight into his rivalry with Princess Kate.

The royals enjoy a strong friendship and have bonded over their competitive natures.


Mike has now revealed the duo face off in a game called beer pong.

Beer pong involves players throwing a ping pong ball into cups arranged in a formation on opposite sides of the table.

The cups are usually filled with an alcoholic beverage and once your opponent throws the ball into one of your cups, you remove the cup from the game and drink its contents.

Mike told the Times: "The Princess of Wales hasn’t beaten me at beer pong yet.

"I’ll keep giving her the opportunity to, though.

"She’s very competitive but she needs to work on her technique."

Mike, who is married to Princess Anne's daughter Zara also shared his experience of the Coronation Concert.

The celebratory event took place the day after Charles and Camilla were crowned King and Queen.

Mike said: "You have to wait for the King to start dancing and then you can go for it.

"It’s always strange to be sitting in that scenario [at the King’s coronation concert], where normally you’d want to get up and dance to everything.

Mike is married to Princess Anne's daughter Zara also shared his experience of the Coronation Concert.

"But you’re aware that you’re on camera.

"Once the King and Queen are up and dancing, you can do whatever you want."

Mike added in the wide-ranging interview that his nickname is "the Lord".

He said: "I gained it at Gloucester when I started dating Zara. It stuck."
