The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are the targets of another cartoon

The Royal Family have savagely been referred to as "made-up nonsense" in a new episode of Family Guy during a dig at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

Seth McFarlane's iconic animated series released its most recent episode on Sunday, where cartoon caricatures of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex could be seen lying in their swimwear beside a pool.

Harry and Meghan's butler could then be seen handing them a pay cheque.

He tells the prince: "Sir, your millions from Netflix for... no-one knows what."

Harry replied: "Put it with the rest of them."

Meghan's phone then buzzed with a notification.

The cartoon duchess told Harry: "Babe, time to do our daily $250,000 sponsored Instagram post for Del Taco."

Harry, while staring off into the distance, said: "I shouldn't have left the made-up nonsense" - which appeared to be a savage swipe at the British Royal Family.

The premise for the episode was that Peter Griffin, the show's main character, compared himself to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

He tried to think of ways to retrieve the money he is owed and said he would "go it alone" - just like Harry and Meghan.

Family Guy is not the first cartoon to satirise the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

South Park released a scathing episode focused on Harry and Meghan earlier this year, where they mocked the couple's calls for "privacy".

These savage cartoons came after the Head of Podcast Innovation and Monetisation at Spotify labelled the former royals "f***ing grifters".

In his own podcast, Simmons said: "The f***ing grifters.

"That's the podcast we should have launched with them.

"I've got to get drunk one night and tell the story of the Zoom I had with Harry to try and help him with a podcast idea. It's one of my best stories."
