Omid Scobie's Endgame has experienced staggeringly low sales as Britons have turned their backs on the new royal book.

The author's book was released worldwide on November 28, however, it only sold 6,448 copies in the UK in its first week.

Another royal author, Valentine Low, mocked Scobie on X regarding his staggeringly low book sales.

He wrote: "Congratulations to Omid Scobie, whose book Endgame sold 6,448 copies in the UK in its first week.

"That is almost as many as my book Courtiers, which sold 6,520 in its first week."

In comparison, Scobie's first book Finding Freedom, which was co-authored by Carolyn Durand, sold 31,000 in its first week in 2020.

While, Prince Harry's autobiography Spare, which was released in January 2023, sold a record-breaking 467,183 copies in its first week.

This became the fastest-selling non-fiction book since records began in 1998.

When pop singer Britney Spears released her autobiography The Woman in Me in October 2023, it failed to match the record set by the Duke of Sussex.

Royal fans replied to Low's X post about Scobie's low book sales.

One said: "So even with the PR stunt, he sold 100 copies less than you!"

Another added: "You are telling me, after all those interviews and ridiculous stunts they tried to pull. This is it?"

Scobie's book resulted in significant backlash among royal fans and commentators.

The Dutch version of Endgame named King Charles and Princess Kate as the two royals allegedly involved in raising "concern" over Prince Archie's skin colour in a publishing "error".

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex both previously accused an unnamed royal of discussing the colour of their future son's skin in their 2021 Oprah Winfrey interview.

Scobie has denied ever including the names in any copy of the book. He told ITV: “I never submitted a book that had those names in it.”
