It comes as Camilla's phone choice has been ridiculed

Queen Camilla's son makes a heartbreaking admission about his relationship with his mother as he revealed that he struggles to keep in contact with her.

Tom Parker Bowles said: "She's always worked quite hard. It's still the case I ring my mother, she doesn't answer, I look on the television (and realise) Ah! She's in Jersey."

He revealed he is unable to WhatsApp his mother, Queen Camilla, due to her "old-fashioned phone."

Queen Camilla's choice of phone is a Nokia brick for "security reasons" to keep in touch with her family, according to her son.

The Nokia brick is a nickname for the Nokia 3310 and has a reputation for excellent durability.

The phone went viral on the internet, with people calling it "indestructible" and praising its durability compared to modern smartphones.

It is also popular due to its early retro simplistic games like Snake and Pong.

It is thought that the King Charles does not own professional phones and let his royal staff take all his calls.

For security reasons, little is known about the royals' phone choices.

It is believed that Queen Elizabeth II used a Blackberry.

Tom Parker Bowles revealed that he keeps in contact with his children, sister, and cousins through WhatsApp.

However, the Nokia 3310 was popularised before smartphones, so it cannot download apps like WhatsApp, leaving Camilla unable to join in the conversations with her family.

Prince William

The Queen has a difficult past with security when it comes to phone calls.

In 1989 she became embroiled in an incident now referred to as "tampongate" when an intimate recording of a call she had with then Prince Charles was leaked.

Prince William has previously spoken about people across generations spend "ages on our phones" and that "we have got to get better at it".

He spoke with teenagers and admitted that "The grown-ups were guilty of it too".
