This sparked some health concerns for the King, 75, however, it is likely the extended stay was merely a precaution.
"It is understood that Charles would only stay in hospital for longer than two nights if there was some kind of unexpected issue," a source told The Sun.
They added that the third night at the clinic "is entirely precautionary" but may have caused "some unease".
King Charles was admitted into the clinic on Friday, after announcing he was diagnosed with an enlarged prostate on January 17.

A statement from Buckingham Palace read: “In common with thousands of men each year, the King has sought treatment for an enlarged prostate.
“His Majesty’s condition is benign and he will attend hospital next week for a corrective procedure.
"The King’s public engagements will be postponed for a short period of recuperation.”
This comes as Princess Kate has returned home to Windsor, after receiving treatment in the same hospital as the King.
