It has been just over one month since Buckingham Palace announced that the Queen, 77, had a chest infection

Queen Camilla's son has made his stance clear on the "conspiracy theories" surrounding his mother.

Tom Parker Bowles shared a new update on his mother's health after she suffered a chest infection last month.

The food critic appeared on The Go To Food Podcast in an episode on Sunday, December 8.

Host Freddy Clode began the hour-long conversation by asking Parker Bowles for a health update on the Queen.

He said: "Most pressingly, how is your ma doing? Because she was a bit under the weather.

"Is she going to be in full recovery mode for silly season?"

Parker Bowles, 49, quickly replied: "I think so, I think, yeah, these things go around ... these bugs."

He highlighted that there's "no great conspiracy theory" surrounding Queen Camilla's condition.

Parker Bowles added: "I think ... she did the [Australia] tour and she caught some kind of awful bug and then before she was well again, [she] worked too hard as she's one to do."

Clode responded: "She's going to be able to enjoy the run into Christmas." Parker Bowles continued: "She's tough."

It has been just over one month since Buckingham Palace announced that Queen Camilla, 77, had a chest infection.

It was then revealed subsequently that the illness was a form of pneumonia, but that the Queen is recovering well despite continued episodic symptoms of post-viral fatigue.

On December 5, Queen Camilla spoke about her health at a London reception commemorating the 50th anniversary of the charity Women's Aid, reaffirming reports that she is making strides in her recovery while still noting: "I am still a bit tired. It catches up a bit."

With his mother on the road to recovery, Clode also asked Parker Bowles during the podcast appearance about his plans for the Christmas holiday.

Despite remaining silent on specific details, the Queen's son shared some insight into the Royal Family's celebration at Sandringham and his inclusion.

"Usually I spend it with my ex-wife and children, sat in my ... not quite my boxer shorts, but my tracksuit bottoms, cooking obviously, beef," he joked before sharing: "I'm not sure about this Christmas at the moment ... very kindly have been invited."

He also further joked: "It's been quite a while since I put on something smart for Christmas, gone to church ... so genuinely not entirely sure, but I'm sure that it will work itself out."

Parker Bowles previously touched on his attending Christmas at Sandringham in a new interview with The Telegraph, published on December 7, just a day before his podcast appearance.

He shared: “My mum said, ‘I’d love you to come, I haven’t had Christmas with you for a long time.'"

He maintained to The Telegraph that an invitation to attend Christmas at Sandringham has always been available to him, but given that “it has been a hell of a two years for them" between Queen Camilla's pneumonia and King Charles' cancer diagnosis and treatment, Parker Bowles said he felt more compelled to consider attending 2024's festivities.
