Princess Kate’s uncle signing up for Celebrity Big Brother poses a “problem” to the Royal Family, American journalist Lee Cohen has claimed.
Gary Goldsmith is reportedly taking part in the new series in a move that insiders claim is the show’s “most controversial signing ever”.
The 58-year-old auditioned for I’m a Celebrity last year but was rejected at the final hurdle over fears it could embarrass Kate and William.
Speaking on GB News, Cohen says the royal establishment will fear Kate’s uncle going “off piste”.

“I think the move could be a problem for the Royal Family”, he told Nana Akua.
“The Royal Family have a way of going about things that are very deliberate and have served the country well.

“He appears not to be supportive of Harry and Meghan, and I think there’s a danger in that.”
Goldsmith is the younger brother of Carole Middleton and he signed his deal on Friday, according to reports.
A source claimed: “Gary is champing at the bit to get on Celebrity Big Brother."
They also told The Sun: “He finalised the terms of his deal today and can’t wait to enter the house.”
The source added: “The CBB team love him because of his link to Kate and the fact that he’s confident and loud and won’t hold back.
“He’s made it clear he will talk about everything and anything, and he’s pretty outspoken when it comes to Harry and Meghan.
“Gary also holds a deep affection for Kate and Wills and will be able to give a fascinating insight into what it’s really like being related to the future King and Queen.
“He could be TV gold and ITV knows it.
“The deal he signed is for good money.”
