Princess Kate is changing the standard protocol around royal duties, GB News’ Royal Correspondent has claimed.
The 40-year-old confirmed that she had completed her chemotherapy treatment in an emotional video earlier this week.
In the moving video - which featured Prince William, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis - she confirmed that she will return to her working royal duties soon and that she will make several public engagements before the year is out.
GB News’ Royal Correspondent Cameron Walker has said that Kate is setting a new protocol around royal engagements through her limited public appearances since her diagnosis.

PAHe sat down with GB News’ Digital Royal Editor Svar Nanan-Sen for this week’s episode of The Royal Record Episode to discuss Kate’s announcement and what her role will look like going forward.
Typically, announcements about royal engagements are made public at least a week prior, however Cameron said this has already changed regarding Kate.
He said: “I'm getting the sense that when these engagements, as and when they do happen, it's going to be a bit of a last-minute announcement that they are happening. Because what they don't want to do is announce something in the usual way a week in advance.
“But then she has to pull out at the last minute and then of course, the media speculation and the public outpouring of panic would just be a little bit overwhelming. And what they don't want to do is the narrative to run away from them again, like it did in March.”
ROYAL LATEST:
The Princess of Wales confirmed that she will return to work soon and is planning to undertake several engagements between now and the end of the year
Will WarrWhen the Princess of Wales had not been seen for a couple of months, rumours online swirled as to where she might be following her abdominal surgery.
Amid a growing amounts of speculation about Kate's health, a palace spokesperson told ABC News on February 29 that Kate was “doing well” as she continued to recover. A couple of weeks later, Kate publicly revealed her cancer diagnosis.
Discussing Kate’s handful of appearances this year, Svar said that they were announced mere hours before.
He said: “We've seen that with the two public appearances that Catherine has made this year. I think they confirmed on the Saturday morning that she would then attend the men's singles final at Wimbledon on the Sunday, and it was a similar thing with Trooping the Colour in June as well.
In July, Princess Kate made her most recent public appearance at Wimbledon alongside her daughter Princess Charlotte and her sister Pippa Matthews

Cameron also clarified some uncertainty on Kate’s current diagnosis.
He said: “There has been a little bit of confusion since that video was released as to whether the Princess is actually cancer free or not.
“What we know that the Princess has said is that she has completed her course of preventive chemotherapy, and that she is focused on staying cancer free, but that doesn't mean that she is currently cancer free, because from my understanding, there is absolutely no suggestion from Kensington Palace that she is either in remission or currently cancer free.
He continued: “And also the fact that they say that the Princess is going to be doing a limited number of engagements, a handful of engagements, is how it was described to me. It suggests that she still has good days and bad days with her health.”
