Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice next to be 'evicted' as King Charles continues cull

The King also made several attempts to get his brother Prince Andrew to leave the Royal Lodge, according to reports.

However, the Duke of York and the King have since come to an agreement that will allow Andrew to remain at his home.

Prince Andrew had resisted attempts to get him to downsize from the Royal Lodge and move into Frogmore Cottage which was previously used as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's UK base.

Since Meghan and Harry vacated the property in the summer of 2023, Andrew's daughters Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice have stayed at the property on numerous occasions.

A source said: "The estate doesn’t want to leave the property vacant and are keen to find a tenant,"

"Royal residences within the security cordon have been leased to people outside of the family before.

"Close family friends will be given the option to lease the property if a full-time tenant can’t be found."

They continued: "He [Andrew] hasn’t moved in, and he won’t.

"However, he’s allowed his daughters to make use of the property when they visit the Windsor estate."

Princess Eugenie lives in Portugal with her husband Jack Brooksbank and their two young children but she stays at Frogmore Cottage when she visits the UK.

The source said: "Eugenie uses the cottage the most when she visits the UK from her home in Portugal.

"Beatrice also uses Frogmore when she visits her parents or undertakes royal duties.

"But neither of them has considered an expensive lease or the other expenses that come with it."
