The Princess of Monaco wore emerald green as she attended a Christmas event

Princess Charlene of Monaco captivated attendees at Saturday night's annual Christmas Ball in a stunning forest green ballgown.

The Zimbabwean-born royal showcased timeless elegance in the emerald-hued creation, which featured a sophisticated crew neckline and sleeveless bodice.

The gown's cascading full-length skirt flowed into a rippling train, creating a dramatic silhouette at the charitable event.

Completing her sophisticated look, Princess Charlene wore her golden blonde hair in an elegant up-do, with a single curl framing her face.

Her makeup remained characteristically refined, featuring a dewy foundation, bronzing blush and subtle smokey eye, perfectly complementing the evening's formal atmosphere.

It follows Princess Charlene absence from attending the reopening of Notre Dame Cathedral, with her husband, Prince Albert, attending alone.

The royal was attending the festive charity event in aid of her eponymous Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation.

The Christmas Ball, now in its 19th edition, celebrated the theme 'Paris Monte Carlo' this year, adding an extra layer of glamour to the prestigious event.

The annual December gathering serves as one of the Principality of Monaco's most emblematic charity occasions.

At the heart of the evening's proceedings, Sotheby's conducts an auction to generate funds for the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation.

The foundation focuses on two primary missions: drowning prevention and children's education through sports.

The Ball has become a cornerstone event in Monaco's festive calendar, bringing together distinguished guests in support of charitable initiatives.

The Christmas Ball appearance follows several festive outings for Princess Charlene, who recently attended Monaco's Christmas village inauguration with her twins.

For the village event, the former Olympian opted for a more casual ensemble, sporting wide-leg denim jeans paired with a gingerbread-hued leather jacket.

Earlier in the week, Princess Charlene and her nine-year-old daughter Princess Gabriella created a stylish mother-daughter moment at the opening of Monaco's new Manterra community.

The pair coordinated their looks perfectly, with Princess Charlene wearing a camel-coloured trouser suit and longline wool coat.

Princess Gabriella mirrored her mother's sophisticated style, sporting a matching caramel-hued coat and oversized black sunglasses.

The royal completed her ensemble with Prada sunglasses and Gianvito Rossi's 'Marbella 55' raffia slingback pumps.
