Charlene and her husband Prince Albert, who are both former Olympians themselves, stepped out in Nice for the start of the Tour's final stage
Princess Charlene of Monaco has been spotted making a public appearance with her husband Prince Albert at the Tour de France ahead of the Paris Olympics.
The royal pair, who are both former Olympians themselves, stepped out in Nice for the start of the Tour's final stage - a stone's throw from the Principality of Monaco over which they preside.
Charlene was seen letting her short blonde hair down alongside Albert in a throng of crowds - with the former opting for a black and white animal-print top and slim white trousers as temperatures topped 28C.
The prince, meanwhile, sported a royal blue suit, open-collar white shirt and Tour de France-branded baseball cap emblazoned with the word "Monaco".

Their sporting spectating follows their 13th anniversary at the start of this month - with the duo tying the knot at the Prince's Palace in their home nation.
And it comes just days prior to the start of the Paris Olympics, which will doubtless evoke memories of the couple's first ever public appearance in nearby Turin, Italy in 2006, where the pair stepped out together for the Alpine city's Winter games.
Four years later, and after Charlene had learned French and Monegasque, having been born in Zimbabwe - Rhodesia at the time - and converted to Catholicism, the pair became engaged.

PAThough at their wedding, Charlene had shed tears, prompting one senior Monaco detective to claim to the Daily Mail that she had "had her passport confiscated so that the Prince's entourage could persuade her to stay".
The princess later denied those rumours - insisting that her crying at the altar was that of joy on her big day, and slamming speculation as "categorical lies".
She said: "Everything was just so overwhelming and there were all the mixed emotions because of the rumours, and obviously the tension built up and I burst into tears [immediately after the ceremony]."
But the pair smiled and laughed at the closing stages of 2024's cycling centrepiece, which began in Florence on June 29 and ended in Nice - moved from Paris to accommodate the Olympics.
Princess Anne is also in France ahead of the games
GettyBut one former Olympic royal was in Paris: Princess Anne.
The Princess Royal is in the French capital for the 142nd International Olympic Committee (IOC) session, which is convening to select the 2030 and 2034 Winter Olympics.
Having left Heathrow Airport yesterday evening, Anne was greeted by the British Ambassador to France, Dame Menna Rawlings, at Paris's Charles De Gaulle Airport.
Anne rode the Queen's horse, Goodwill, in the equestrian three-day event at the Montreal Games - though while she missed out on an Olympic medal, she was able to present silver to her daughter Zara at London 2012.
