Princess Beatrice appears to have pulled out of a major event amid medical advice against international travel.

The Princess of York is expecting her second child with husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in the Spring.

Princess Beatrice has been a regular attendee at the World Economic Forum in previous years.

The Times reported that the royal was expected to make an appearance at the event in Davos, Switzerland between January 20-24, however, the princess has not stepped out at the forum.

It comes amid Beatrice receiving medical advice against long-distance travelling in December.

Princess Beatrice changed her Christmas plans and joined the Royal Family at Sandringham after receiving the medical advice.

Beatrice and her husband had originally planned to spend the festive period overseas with Edoardo's parents in Italy.

However, following the medical advice, the couple performed a U-turn and travelled to Sandringham to spend the Christmas period with the wider Royal Family rather than joining her parents at the Royal Lodge.

Last week, Princess Beatrice wiped away tears during an emotional virtual engagement as she became visibly moved.

The Princess of York joined her sister Princess Eugenie and their mother Sarah Ferguson on a video call to celebrate three Teenage Cancer Trust fundraisers.

Beatrice, Eugenie and Fergie are all long-term honorary patrons of the charity.

The Teenage Cancer Trust (TCT), founded by Adrian and Myrna Whiteson, was created to bridge the gap between paediatric and adult cancer care.

TCT’s chief executive Kate Collins said on the call: "The care that Teenage Cancer Trust nurses and youth teams provide is only made possible by remarkable fundraisers. Every single penny that everyone gives is what makes our work happen."

Some people on the call were visibly moved by her words, including Princess Beatrice, according to The Telegraph.

Collins said: "I’m sorry I seem to have upset people on the call."

Beatrice said while wiping away tears: "Totally the opposite, I’m inspired. I am pregnant so I cry at absolutely everything."
