The Princess of York attended Kate and William's wedding and received much criticism
Princess Beatrice has won a major accolade after the royal admitted to "crying" and getting "really upset".
Beatrice has been named the best-dressed person in Britain for 2024.
The 35-year-old topped Tatler’s best-dressed list, despite going viral for the bizarre fawn-coloured hat she wore at Princess Kate and Prince William's wedding, which inspired numerous memes.
Tatler praised Beatrice as "a beacon of sartorial elegance" by "pairing vintage-inspired cuts with fresh-from-the-catwalk glamour".
However, it was noted that she was the "subject of much jest" for the Philip Treacy hat.
Both Beatrice and her sister Princess Eugenie admitted to having cried over articles criticising their hats at the wedding.
"There was a horrible article that had been written about Beatrice and she got really upset," Princess Eugenie said in a 2018 interview, recalling their infamous fascinators.
"We were just about to step out and she had a bit of a wobble and cried," she told Vogue.

The sisters wore unique fascinators by hat designer Philip Treacy to Prince William and Kate's wedding 13 years ago at Westminster Abbey.
Eugenie's was a blue headpiece with a massive purple flower topped with a white feather, which she wore with a Vivienne Westwood ensemble.
Meanwhile, Beatrice's was beige with an upright oval design and ribbon features that matched her nude Valentino Haute Couture dress.

The siblings landed on worst-dressed lists and The Mail called their looks "outlandish".
But Beatrice seemed to get the brunt of the backlash.
A Facebook page called "Princess Beatrice's ridiculous wedding hat" was created, however, it has since been deleted.
The full top 25 list can be seen in the September issue of Tatler, which will go on sale on Thursday, August 1.
