Princess Anne reunited with Prince Albert of Monaco, however, Princess Charlene was nowhere to be seen during the meeting.

The Princess Royal flew to Mumbai for the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Session, and was seated next to Albert for the occasion.

The duo attended the Rugby World Cup weeks previously and appeared to have a good rapport with each other.

Anne and Albert were present at the 141st IOC Session earlier this week, a three-day event.

The princess donned her signature bouffant hairstyle and carried an autumnal red tote bag.

Anne and Albert have bonded over the years due to their shared history of being in the Olympics.

The Princess Royal was an equestrian in the 1976 Olympics, while Albert was a bobsledder at the Winter Olympics five times between 1988 and 2002.

Another royal who has competed in the Olympics, but wasn't present at the IOC session, was Charlene, Princess of Monaco.

The princess, who grew up in South Africa, competed in the 2000 Olympics as a swimmer.

Charlene, 45, finished fifth with her South African team in the 4 x 100-metre medley relay.

Princess Anne was the first member of the British Royal Family to compete in the Olympics when she rode the late Queen's horse, Goodwill, in 1976.

Anne's daughter Zara Tindall followed in her mother's footsteps, winning a silver medal in 2012.
