Princess Anne made a poignant visit to open 40 new homes for veterans in Kent on Friday.
The Princess Royal visited the Royal British Legion Industries (RBLI) Centenary Village to officially open their veteran assisted living facility, Greenwich House.
The RBLI Centenary Village provides welfare support along with a range of accommodations.
Princess Anne opened 40 new homes on Friday at the £22million development near Maidstone.

Lisa Farmer, the RBLI's CEO, said it was an "honour" to receive the princess.
The organisation was formed in 1919 to support injured soldiers returning from World War One.
In 2019, the RBLI launched a campaign to build the Centenary Village.
This development included assisted living, disabled-friendly apartments, and new family homes.

This outing in Kent came the day after the Princess Royal attended the Trafalgar Night Dinner at the Old Royal Naval College.
Princess Anne wore a matching suit and bow tie alongside her husband, Timothy Laurence.
Trafalgar Night is celebrated each October to celebrate and remember the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805.
Royal fans were thrilled to see a picture of the royal couple, who tied the knot in 1992, looking suave at the event.
