Prince William and Princess Kate are coming under pressure after raising eyebrows within parts of the royal household, according to a royal commentator.
The Prince and Princess of Wales have enjoyed a break from undertaking Royal Family engagements this summer as they holiday with their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
Royal Correspondent Richard Palmer claimed that the couple's amount of time off has caught the attention of some Royal Family staff.
However, he stressed that Kate and William are very popular and a huge asset to the UK.

Palmer said: "I do think that is an issue for them as well.
"They’re very popular, they’re a huge asset to the UK, but there have been eyebrows raised in other parts of the royal household about the amount of time they’re not doing official engagements.
"It may well be that they come under a little bit of pressure to up their number of engagements."
The royal commentator added that there is a lot of goodwill towards the Prince and Princess of Wales but they need to monitor the amount of time they take off.
He told the Royal Round Up podcast: "There aren’t many families where both the father and mother are able to have 12 or 13 weeks with their children on all of their school breaks.
"I think there’s an awful lot of goodwill towards them but they do need to keep an eye on that."
In July, Palmer outlined the Prince and Princess of Wales's plans for the summer.
He said: "William and Kate have made it very clear that their children are their priority this summer holiday.
"They have blocked off much of the summer so that they can spend time with the children in the UK.
"The Princess of Wales has made it clear that her children will remain her priority for the foreseeable future and when you hear William and Harry talking about his childhood and how their father was always at his desk or away somewhere, you can perhaps understand why that is a priority."

It comes as Princess Kate and Prince William will not hold peace talks with Prince Harry upon his return to the UK, an insider has claimed.
The Duke of Sussex has confirmed that he will be visiting the UK in September to attend a WellChild award ceremony.
However, a Royal Family insider has said that reconciliation between senior members of the monarchy and Prince Harry remains "a long way off" as they ruled out peace talks taking place next month.
The insider told the Mirror: "While some may suggest it would be good order for the family to settle their differences, perhaps even in the late Queen's memory, things are a long way off."
