Harry made a series of staggering claims about his older brother

Prince William is “terrified” at the prospect of a second Prince Harry memoir, according to a royal commentator.

The Duke of Sussex’s memoir Spare, released last year, made a series of staggering claims about his older brother including details of a violent altercation between the pair.

Harry wrote that his brother was critical of his wife, Meghan Markle, with William said to have described her as “difficult”, “rude” and “abrasive”.

Speaking on GBN America, Daily Mail columnist Maureen Callahan says William is now fearful of Harry potentially putting pen to paper once more.

“William and Charles have been actively discussing stripping Harry and Meghan of their royal titles in the wake of their Nigeria tour”, she claimed.

“But they likely never will because they don’t want to give them something else to gripe about. Another quiver in their arsenal.

“They’re in a difficult position of trying to abide and rise above while also not being seen to co-sign these ridiculous cosplaying trips as royals with monetisations.

“William is also said to be terrified of a Spare two, another instalment of a memoir filled with more grievances.

“They really have to close ranks and not do anything to poke to bear.”

GBN America host Nana Akua waded in on the discussion to suggest a second Spare would “go the same way” as Omid Scobie’s book, Endgame.

Scobie, an ally of the Sussexes, took aim at the Firm and Princess Kate in particular, but his book struggled to make waves with only 6,448 sales in the UK in its first week.

Author Robert Hardman believes a second Spare could be in the offing.

He was quoted by the Independent saying at a recent Hay Festival appearance that a perceived lack of content on Harry and Meghan’s wedding “says to me one thing and one thing only: part two might be on its way”.

The original book led to much fallout and appears to have further exacerbated tensions in the royal household.

Harry is not on speaking terms with his older brother, evidenced by the pair not meeting during his two recent trips to the UK.

The duke jetted home in February in a whirlwind visit after learning of his father’s cancer diagnosis.

The pair exchanged words in a short meeting before Harry made his way back across the pond.

Despite many suggesting Charles and Princess Kate’s cancer troubles potentially being enough to bring the family back together after a fraught few years, Harry did not speak to his brother on the two separate occasions he travelled back to the UK.
