Prince Louis set to make major change at King's Coronation as he starts to grow up

Prince Louis is set to make a major change at King Charles’s Coronation as the four-year-old starts to grow up, an expert has suggested.
Prince and Princess of Wales’s youngest child is often spotted wearing shorts during public appearances.
But there is a tradition which sees male members of the Royal Family change to trousers.
Prince Louis, who turns five on St George’s Day, could decide to make the switch in early May as King Charles celebrates his Coronation.

An expert appeared to express her support for Louis switching to trousers.
Jennie Bond, who worked as a royal correspondent for 14 years, told OK! magazine: “I think it's time he wore trousers, especially at the Coronation.
“Anything else would look odd and far too informal. I'd like to see him in a little suit at the age of five, he'd look really cute in a little suit.”
Prince William and brother Prince Harry also made the switch from shorts to trousers when they were younger.
Etiquette expert William Hanson claimed boys normally switch away from shorts when they reach eight-years-old.
Hanson added: “It's a very English thing to dress a young boy in shorts.
“Trousers are for older boys and men, whereas shorts on young boys is one of those silent class markers that we have in England.”
It has been suggested the Prince and Princess of Wales brought the date forward for their eldest son George.

The nine-year-old future King was spotted wearing trousers in the Cambridges’ Christmas card photo in 2018.
The snap showed all five of them sitting on a tree near their Norfolk home, Anmer Hall.
George now even emulates his father’s style, often wearing a matching navy suit.
But Louis was spotted in shorts just a few weeks ago on Easter Sunday, even though the weather was far from warm and his older brother wore trousers.
