The Duke of Sussex released his memoir in January 2023
Prince Harry is scrambling for "more sensational material" as publishers are craving to release a paperback copy of Spare, it has been claimed.
The Duke of Sussex released his memoir in January 2023, and 18 months later there is still no sign of the paperback version.
According to reports in The Mail, publishers are keen to get one on the market, especially if they can market the memoir as containing "sensational" new material.
However, Prince Harry, 39, is out of content following his original memoir and the Netflix series he released with his wife, Meghan Markle.
Since stepping back as working royals, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been kept at arm's length by the Royal Family.
Following the couple's explosive Oprah Winfrey interview in 2021, Prince William is reportedly keen on his family avoiding saying anything to his brother or sister-in-law that could be monetised by Netflix or released in a book.
Major royal events which have occurred following Harry's release of Spare include King Charles's Coronation, the monarch's cancer diagnosis, Princess Kate announcing her chemotherapy, and Princess Anne being hospitalised with a head injury.
However, the Duke of Sussex has been living in the US for most of these events and has likely not been privy to much behind-the-scenes content.
Following Charles's cancer diagnosis being made public, Harry flew to the UK to visit his father.
The duo spent roughly half an hour in Clarence House for a reunion, before the King and Queen travelled to Sandringham in Norfolk.
Harry and Meghan also released a statement following the Princess of Wales's cancer diagnosis being made public.
They said: “We wish health and healing for Kate and the family, and hope they are able to do so privately and in peace.”
