Prince Harry has spoken of his hopes of reconciling with his father
Prince Harry has been unexpectedly frozen out by the King with his public criticisms yet to be forgiven, a royal author has claimed.
The Duke of Sussex is said to have left his dad so angry at his repeated attacks on the Royal family in public that he is now even refusing to take calls from Harry.
In recent years the youngest son of the monarch has given a number of tell-all interviews about life in The Firm and twisted the knife even further when he released his bestselling memoir Spare in January last year.
During the interventions, Harry made a number of criticisms about his father, Prince William, Queen Camilla and members of royal staff.
Tom Quinn, who wrote Royal Palaces: An Intimate Memoir of Royals Behaving Badly, claims that the King expects an apology from his son for his repeated public attacks.
He told The Mirror: "Despite all his criticisms Harry always assumed he would be forgiven by his father.
"He thought Charles would make amends for the hurt that- in Harry’s view – justified the criticisms."
Quinn added: "Despite Harry’s attacks on the royal family his father has avoided responding by attacking his son publicly, but privately, King Charles is furious.

He also said he was hopeful of reconciliation in the wake of the King's cancer diagnosis.
"I think any illness, any sickness, brings families together," he said.
"I see it time and time again, and that makes me very happy."
Harry flew back to the UK to visit his father after learning of the King's health battle.
However, despite having made the long journey from the US it is understood the Prince was only granted a half hour audience with the King.
