The couple have relaunched their website using regal titles

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have broken a promise they made to Queen Elizabeth II in a bid to “make as much money as possible”, a royal author has fumed.

Angela Levin joined Martin Daubney on GB News to react to the couple’s website relaunch which used their regal titles - the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

She dubbed the move “sickening” in a scathing verdict, claiming the couple have broken a vow they made to the late Queen as a result.

“The late Queen Elizabeth II said to them that she did not want them to use any royal titles to make money”, she claimed.

“They agreed to that. I suspect she thought that was a promise, and they’re not sticking to it at all.

“They’re using it 100 per cent so they can make as much money as possible.”

She added that the profiles put on the website mostly document “wonderful things” that they accomplished as working members of the Royal Family.

“The only way they’ve made money recently is to be extremely unpleasant and spiteful to the Royal Family”, she added.

“The timing was shocking when the late Duke of Edinburgh was very ill during their interview with Oprah Winfrey, and this is on a similar level.

“King Charles, we know, is not very well. He’s got cancer.

“There’s Kate and William who want to look after them, there’s lots of problems, so they think it’s an ideal time for them to make it even worse.”

The couple’s new site, sussex.com, is set to bring more personal updates about their lives.

Entrants to the website are welcomed by a large photo of the pair smiling and clapping at last year’s Invictus Games, overrated with their royal coat of arms and the title “The Office of Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex”.

The foot of the page features links to the Archewell Foundation, Archewell Productions and their Sussex Royal Website.

In the About channel, the website states: “The Office of Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex is shaping the future through business and philanthropy.

“This includes: The Archewell Foundation, Archewell Productions, patronages, ventures, and organisations which receive the support of the couple, individually and/or together.”

Their profiles on the website detail their achievements, but fail to mention their family roots.
