The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were evicted in March 2023

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's eviction from Frogmore Cottage was encouraged by a key senior royal, according to claims by Omid Scobie.

His new bombshell book Endgame will be released on Tuesday, November 28, which takes a "penetrative investigation" into the Royal Family.

However, a French magazine named Paris Match has managed to serialise parts of the book prior to its release.

In one section, translated from French, Scobie reveals the name of the senior royal who persuaded King Charles to evict Harry and Meghan from their UK home.

According to the author, Princess Anne is said to have persuaded her older brother to order the Sussexes to vacate the property.

Providing some context, Scobie claimed that after the release of Spare in January 2023 "Charles was cautious".

He therefore wanted the Royal Family to ignore any statements made by the Duke of Sussex in his book and during the promotional tour.

Out of all the members of the Royal Family, it was Prince Edward who was most concerned with what his nephew might say, according to the royal author.

However, the Princess Royal reportedly took the firmest approach.

Two months after the release of Spare, a spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex confirmed that they had been "requested to vacate their residence at Frogmore Cottage".

Kensington Palace, Buckingham Palace and Archewell have refused to comment on Omid Scobie's claims in his upcoming book.

Prince Archie, four, had spent the first five months of his life at Frogmore Cottage in Windsor. However, in January 2020, Harry and Meghan announced their intentions to step back as senior members of the Royal Family.

They subsequently moved to California where they now live in Montecito.

On their return to the UK for Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee in June 2022, the duke and duchess stayed in their former Windsor property.

They took pictures with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet on the gorgeous Frogmore grounds, which they included in their Netflix docuseries, Harry & Meghan.

The Sussexes continued to treat Frogmore as their UK base until March 2023 when they were ordered to vacate the property.
