Prince Harry's "comeback campaign" is set to fail as the Duke of Sussex has shown "no interest", according to new claims.
The Duke of Sussex has "no interest" in returning to royal duties and is focused solely on his future in the US, sources have suggested.
Harry’s efforts to maintain contact with old friends have prompted speculation he is seeking an official role within the family fold.
However, multiple sources close to the duke insist that this is not the case and that he is happy and settled in California.
The insiders continued to tell The Telegraph that the father-of-two has an "amazing" new set of friends.
Since relocating to the US, the duke has maintained contact with a tight group of trusted advisors.
They expressed surprise at the suggestion he might one day return to royal duties.
The Mail previously claimed that certain "friends" want Ed Lane Fox, the duke’s former private secretary, to lead a "comeback campaign".

Lane Fox, a former captain in the Household Cavalry, has maintained contact with Prince Harry and sits on the board of the Invictus Games.
However, Harry's current set of friends are reported to have been "acquired in more recent times" rather than Old Etonian friends.
The duke has also ruled out bringing Meghan Markle back to the UK, amid claims it is too dangerous for the couple to return with no access to automatic police protection.
Harry is awaiting a date for his appeal against a High Court ruling after failing to successfully challenge the Government’s position.

The duke's clandestine visit last month to attend the funeral of his uncle, Lord Fellowes, may have signalled more frequent homecomings.
It demonstrated that he could come and go with minimal fanfare and a limited security risk.
The visit also showed the duke is keen to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with his brother, Prince William.
Despite this, sources close to Harry claim he is determined to look forward and not backwards.
