Prince Harry has been given a stern warning that his "actions have consequences" after he was stunned by the brutal backlash to receiving a war award.
The Duke of Sussex is set to be given the memorial award set up in the name of Pat Tillman in Hollywood on July 11.
However, the choice of Harry to be the recipient seems to have caused a stir and Tilman's mother has spoken up against the "controversial" decision.
Prince Harry has been left 'stunned' by the furious reaction to the honour, according to MailOnline.
Prince Harry was given a stern warning
GettySpeaking to GB News royal commentator Michael Cole said: "We know that Prince Harry did a great job in setting up the Invictus, meaning unconquered games after he'd seen the warrior games in America.
"We know that he served nobly and valiantly in Afghanistan as a commander of an Apache attack helicopter. Commendations are due there.
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:
"We know that what's gone on and in America, you know, the late Queen was held in high, high regard.
"A lot of people have been saying where is the service of Prince Harry? He's turned against his commander-in-chief, his father.
"He said some very unbalanced and unkind things about the Princess of Wales and indeed his brother.
"So 68,000 people signed a petition for the award that should be given on Thursday night."
Michael Cole told Harry to "politely decline"

"I would say that he should either politely decline the award because it is so controversial, or he should not accept it in person because we don't want to see him being booed."
Tilman's mother Mary has criticised the decision to give the award named after her dead son to Prince Harry.
Mary said: "I am shocked as to why they would select such a controversial and divisive individual to receive the award.
"There are recipients that are far more fitting. There are individuals working in the veteran community that are doing tremendous things to assist veterans.

"I feel that those types of individuals should be recognised."
ESPN said Harry was being honoured for his "tireless work in making a positive impact for the veteran community through the power of sport" with his Invictus Games.
However, a petition has been launched demanding ESPN rethink their decision, claiming the Duke of Sussex had been "involved in controversies that call into question his suitability to receive an honour of this magnitude".
