Prince Harry will ensure that his children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, inherit millions of pounds, according to a source.

The Duke of Sussex recently received a windfall worth millions from the inheritance left to him by his great-grandmother.


The Queen Mother put a sum of around ÂŁ19m into a trust fund for the Royal Family before her death in 2002.

Prince William, Harry's elder brother, and the Duke of Sussex both received a share of the money, believed to be ÂŁ8m when they turned 40.

Prince Harry celebrated his 40th birthday on Sunday in the US with his young children and wife Meghan Markle.

The royal is now drawing up plans to ensure Archie and Lilibet will be able to inherit the money.

The source said: "He wants to put the inheritance away for their future, especially for Archie and Lili."

Last month, Meghan Markle opened up on raising Archie and Lilibet during the Sussexes' tour of Colombia.

The couple did not bring their children along on the four-day tour of Colombia despite reports they were considering it.

However, Meghan discussed how she models raising her children during the first day of the international trip.

The Duchess of Sussex said: "We should model how we want our kids to be raised and for the world in which we raise them."

She added: "It doesn’t matter where you live. It doesn’t matter who you are.

"And that’s something we can actively work on every day to remedy."

Archie and Lilibet were not present in Nigeria during their parents' previous international tour in May 2024.
