At school, royal children follow a specific naming convention, using their first name followed by their parents' title as their surname.
This means Prince George appears on the school register as George Cambridge.
His siblings follow the same pattern, being known as Charlotte Cambridge and Louis Cambridge respectively.
This tradition follows in the footsteps of their father Prince William and uncle Prince Harry, who used Wales as their surname during their school years, derived from their father's title as Prince of Wales.

The move came as part of the family's relocation to be closer to Windsor Castle, with George and Charlotte previously attending Thomas' School in Battersea, while Louis attended Willcocks Nursery in South Kensington.
The royal children's nicknames extend beyond Prince George's "PG", with his siblings also having their own special monikers.
Prince William was overheard using a French-inspired nickname for Princess Charlotte at the 2019 Chelsea Flower Show, calling her "Mignotte", which translates to "cute".
