Crown Princess Mary and Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark put on a united front in Copenhagen today after a Spanish gossip magazine reported that the Crown Prince had an affair with a Mexican socialite.
Genoveva Casanova has strenuously denied the claim that she had a romantic affair with the Crown Prince of Denmark.
Speaking to Hola!, Casanova "categorically" refuted any suggestion she was romantically involved with Frederik after they were photographed together in Madrid.
Meanwhile, the Danish royal palace has so far refused to make any comment on the rumours.

The Crown Prince met with Casanova in Madrid to attend an exhibition about Pablo Picasso.
Photographs of the pair were published in the Spanish magazine Lecturas, which coincided with the King and Queen of Spain arriving in Denmark for a State Visit.

Casanova released the following statement: "I categorically deny the statements that suggest a romantic relationship between Prince Frederick and me.
"Any statement of this type not only completely lacks the truth but also misrepresents the facts in a malicious manner.
"This is already in the hands of my lawyers, who will take care of the pertinent steps to protect my right to honour, truth and privacy."
Casanova was formerly married to Spanish author Cayetano Martínez de Irujo between 2005 and 2007.
