Balmoral will be open to the public every day until August 16
Prince Andrew's holiday plans have been wrecked by a change made at one of the Royal Family residences.
King Charles's Balmoral estate in Aberdeenshire will be open to the public every day until August 16.
This is a step away from tradition as it is two weeks longer than normal and coincides with the period the Duke of York would normally stay at the Balmoral.
Prince Andrew often holidays at the estate in Scotland with his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson and their children Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.

A source told the Mail: "This will bring significant new revenue into the estate.
"It may, however, have the effect of annoying the Duke of York, who has treasured his time in Royal Deeside ever since he was a little boy."
It comes as Prince Andrew's move to Frogmore Cottage has been "shelved" as his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson recovers from surgery for breast cancer.
King Charles had reportedly been trying to move his brother out of the Royal Lodge with Meghan and Harry's former UK base mooted as a replacement home.
Prince Andrew is reluctant to give up the 30-room royal residence for the smaller Frogmore Castle.
Sarah Ferguson, who lives with Prince Andrew in the Royal Lodge, recently underwent a mastectomy that reportedly lasted for eight hours.
A Palace insider told The Mail that plans for the move have now been "quietly shelved".
Last month Meghan and Harry cleared out Frogmore and handed the keys back to the Royal Family.

The move is particularly poignant as the Sussexes will no longer have a residence in the UK.

However, Meghan and Harry have barely lived in the royal residence over the last three years.
The Sussexes were originally given just several weeks to pack up their belongings but after negotiations, it was agreed they would have until after the Coronation to move out.
