Meghan Markle was given thousands of pounds worth of clothes and accessories by Victoria Beckham to promote the ex-Spice Girls star's brand, before a feisty feud erupted between the duo, a bombshell new biography has claimed,
The Duchess of Sussex had been handed a "coat, dress, boots and a handbag worth £6,000" for royal Christmas festivities at Sandringham House as part of a marketing drive for the former Wag's fashion line, a new book by celebrity biographer Tom Bower has claimed.
But in a blow for Beckham, the "financial benefit" of showering Meghan with the branded garb was "nil", Bower has claimed.
In Bower's caustic biography, he wrote: "Victoria agreed to provide a coat, dress, boots and a handbag worth £6,000 to Meghan for the Royal Family's traditional Christmas Day parade in Sandringham.

"Victoria's style also attracted Melania Trump. She wore a Victoria Beckham dress during the President's official visit to London."
"But the financial benefit was nil."
Bower claimed Beckham's "only success in 2019 was a £1,400 handbag that had been displayed by Meghan" - but he noted that the accessory's sales had largely been "prompted" by "Victoria's Instagram video" - not their affiliation with Prince Harry's wife.

Elsewhere in the book, Bower claimed that Meghan had "deluded" herself into believing her titles and royal status cemented her place above the Beckhams in the "social pecking order" where "ranking depended on wealth and fame".
But in a shocking series of behind-the-scenes claims, the biographer wrote at length on the grizzly details of an alleged feud which broke out between Markle and Beckham.
Meghan, Bower claimed, had accused Victoria of leaking information about her to the press in the wake of a story's publication in The Sun which claimed she had given Markle makeup tips.
While Beckham shut down the leak accusations, laying the blame at the door of an unknown beautician, Bower said the culprit likely would have been a "boastful publicist".

But David Beckham was left "absolutely furious" in the wake of the accusations, with reports suggesting that their relationship was now "over".
A source told the Mail: "Any making up now is so unlikely."
The claims by Bower only add to reports the friendship between the two A-lister couples has soured over the last few years.
Though previously close - the Beckhams had attended the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's wedding at Windsor Castle in 2018 - any rows have likely only deepened in the wake of the news that the Beckhams' Netflix documentary has outstripped the Sussexes' in viewership figures by millions.
