Meghan Markle has not yet confirmed whether she will attend King Charles's Coronation

Meghan Markle is "upset" at the Royal Family's "rejection" of her ahead of the Coronation.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have not yet confirmed whether they will attend the ceremony taking place in May.

King Charles is thought to be keen for his son Prince Harry to attend and is prepared to make several concessions to make that possible.

However, Meghan Markle feels that the Palace is only concerned about whether Prince Harry attends and is not trying to secure her attendance in the same way according to a royal commentator.

Kinsey Schofield told Fox News: "Meghan is upset and overwhelmed. It’s not that Meghan feels excluded from the planning.

"Meghan feels like the palace is only fighting for Prince Harry to attend and they don’t care whether she shows up or not.

"And that does not sit well with her. Rejection is one of Meghan's greatest insecurities.

"She does not want to be booed or humiliated on a global scale, yet she understands that her brand stateside increases in value with her proximity to the Royal Family."

Earlier this week, a royal commentator warned that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle attending the Coronation would "ruin it".

Tom Bower told GB News that King Charles is a "weak man" and that he should send a message to Harry and Meghan by seating the couple far away from the rest of the Royal Family if they do attend the Coronation.

Bower added that "people are sick" of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

He said: "His problem is that he is a weak man in a way and he's worried about Harry.

"If only he said to Harry, look, come to the Coronation, but you can have row Q, seat 54 and viewers partly obscured by a column, then the message will get through.

"But I think if he allows Harry to come to the Coronation, it is gonna ruin the Coronation.

"It'll be overshadowed by Harry's presence and Meghan's too.

"So I think Charles has to make a decision now. The king has to decide and I think that people are on the whole getting sick to death of Harry."
