The Duke and Duchess of Sussex spent the earlier part of the day on the slopes at Whistler ski resort in Canada

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were spotted enjoying a romantic dinner date on Valentine's Day last night in an upscale restaurant.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex travelled to Whistler, Canada, on Wednesday for a three-day event highlighting next year’s Invictus Games.

During the day, the couple hit the slopes and joined Invictus Games athletes in their first public appearance since the launch of their new website Sussex.com.

But Meghan swapped her snow boots for heels on Valentine’s Day evening for dinner at an Italian restaurant with her husband.

The duke and duchess were spotted leaving an upscale Italian restaurant at the ski resort and getting into their Ford Expedition SUV.

They were able to enjoy a romantic dinner alone as their two children Archie, 4 and Lilibet, 2 remain back home in Montecito.

According to a source: “They sat in a secluded corner of the main restaurant and were like any other couple on Valentine’s Day.”

Meghan looked gorgeous in a bright red coat, wide black trousers and a red clutch bag while Harry wore a blue sweater over a white shirt and jeans.

The source told the Daily Mail: “They were both smiling the whole time and kept touching each other’s arms. It was great to see them looking so in love.”

Meghan and Harry smiled brightly as they left Il Caminetto, Whistler’s “most iconic Italian restaurant.”

The restaurant’s Valentine’s Day set menu started at $109 (£64) per person and offered a beautiful selection of seafood, beef, duck and a range of desserts.

Prince Harry may have appreciated the rest following his adventurous day of sit-skiing in the mountains.

During the day, the duke tried his hand at the accessible sport for people with disabilities ahead of the 2025 Invictus Games.

Meghan could barely contain her laughter as she snapped shots of her husband sitting on his skis.

The prince joked “do I need to sign a waiver?” as he set off.

The couple were followed around by a camera crew and pictured holding hands throughout their romantic day.
