The Duchess of Sussex's Netflix series 'With Love, Meghan' will drop on January 15

Meghan Markle made a subtle nod to Princess Diana in her upcoming project amid her professional separation from Prince Harry.

The mother-of-two is set to launch her new Netflix series 'With Love, Meghan' on January 15.

The Duchess of Sussex, 43, donned Diana's £17,800 Cartier Tank Francaise watch in the recently released trailer, which promises an intimate look inside her Californian kitchen.

The eight-part series, consisting of 33-minute episodes, will blend practical how-to segments with candid conversations featuring famous friends, including Mindy Kaling and Abigail Spencer.

Viewers will see Meghan preparing meals and tending to her garden while sporting the meaningful timepiece, which forms part of an impressive £53,000 worth of jewellery showcased in the promotional material.

The trailer was unveiled earlier this week on Meghan's newly launched Instagram account, marking her return to social media after a five-year hiatus.

Meghan's new series comes amid her professional separation from her husband, where the duke and duchess are focusing on separate and individual endeavours.

Diana's Cartier timepiece holds deep sentimental value, having been gifted to the late princess by her father, John Spencer, on her 21st birthday.

She wore the elegant watch frequently, including during a 1997 visit to London's Shri Swaminarayan Mandir Hindu Temple and an engagement at the British Lung Foundation.

Women's Wear Daily reported that Prince Harry later passed his mother's watch to Meghan, who first wore it publicly in 2020.

In a 2015 interview, Meghan revealed her own connection to the iconic design: "I've always coveted the Cartier French Tank watch. When I found out Suits had been picked up for our third season – which, at the time, felt like such a milestone – I totally splurged and bought the two-tone version."

She had her own watch engraved with "To M.M. From M.M." and planned to give it to her future daughter.
