Meghan Markle snubbed the Duchess of Edinburgh after the royals had a conversation that lasted for hours regarding life in the Royal Family, according to a source.
The royal insider claimed Sophie was surprised she did not hear from the Duchess of Sussex after offering to help her navigate initial period of joining the Royal Family.
The source said: "It was just the two of them and they talked for hours.
"Meghan had so many questions and Sophie, who knows what it’s like navigating your way through the early days of transition from a commoner to a royal, gave freely of her advice.
The insider claimed Sophie was surprised she did not hear from Meghan Markle after offering to help her navigate initial period of joining the Royal Family.

"Sophie found Meghan likeable and engaging and told her that she could call her any time when she needed advice about dealing with some of the trickier royals.
"She was quite surprised when that was the last she heard from Meghan."
The insider told The Sun: "As she noted, it would’ve been nice to receive a return invitation to Frogmore Cottage (where Meghan was then living with Harry and is less than half an hour from Bagshot)."

Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh is said to be furious after Omid Scobie labelling her "casually bigoted" in his book Endgame.
The royal author, who has links to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, slammed Prince Edward's wife over her alleged reaction to Meghan Markle's interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Scobie claimed Sophie said during an interview with The Telegraph: "You know, if you’re not into chat shows, there’s no reason why you should know who she (Oprah) is. Certainly not in this country, anyway."

The royal author wrote regarding the alleged comment: "Whether it was a 'joke' (as a source close to Edward and Sophie later claimed it was) or not, the comments about the world’s most successful black woman and one of the biggest faces in entertainment made them seem stuffy or tin-eared at best, and casually bigoted at worst."
Endgame has been criticised for being overly sympathetic to Meghan and Harry while containing scathing criticism of senior royals including William and his wife Kate, the Princess of Wales.
The book sold less than 6,500 copies in its first week in the UK.
