Meghan Markle's claim that an interview with Mishal Husain was an "orchestrated reality show" has been disputed by the journalist.
Husain interviewed the Duchess of Sussex and Prince Harry regarding their engagement in November 2017.
The couple married at Windsor Castle less than a year later in May 2018.
However, Meghan Markle was critical of Husain and the engagement interview in her Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan.

The Duchess of Sussex branded the experience an "orchestrated reality show" and, according to a royal source, felt that Husain "wasn't empathetic enough, wasn't warm enough' to conduct the interview".
The source adds that Meghan would have preferred the interview to be with US broadcaster Oprah Winfrey.
Meghan Markle eventually did have a sit-down interview with Oprah in 2021 where she issued several public attacks on the Royal Family.

The BBC presenter said: "They seemed to have thought through what their new lives would be like and what marriage would mean for her life in particular."
She added: "There was nothing that pointed to what would happen.
"It was two people who were full of joy in each other and life."
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped down as working royals in 2020.
