Prince Harry and Meghan have missed out on some royal events recently due to the family feud

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could be "looking for an invite" to two A-lister events in the US after missing out on other celebrations, a royal commentator has claimed.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex relocated to California after dramatically quitting their roles as senior royals in 2020 and since then tensions have only risen between the couple and the rest of the Royal Family.

Harry and Meghan have missed out on some royal gatherings including the marriage of Hugh Grosvenor, a close friend of both Harry and William last week.

Whilst William appeared at the event as an usher, his younger brother was nowhere to be seen.

Speaking to The Mirror, Richard Fitzwilliams said: "The challenge for Harry and Meghan is to attend comparable events in the United States which are not focused on them.

"The Met Gala and the Oscars are the sort of events they would benefit from being seen at, since they have pretensions to be A-listers.

"Barack Obama's 60th, held in 2021, the year they were in Time Magazine's Top 100, is the sort of event they would undoubtedly want to be seen at but were not invited to."

The pair are also understood not to have been invited to this year's annual Trooping The Colour celebration, scheduled for June 15.

They were also not invited to the event last year, which marked the first Trooping the Colour parade under the reign of King Charles, Harry's father.

People Magazine has reported that the Sussexes were not invited to this year's celebrations for the second year in a row.

There were some reports that Trooping the Colour would not go as planned this year. King Charles and Prince William were forced to cancel pre-planned engagements after Prime Minister Rishi Sunak announced on May 22 that a General Election would be held in July.

Buckingham Palace said the royals would postpone outings "which may appear to divert attention or distract from the election campaign".

However, the Ministry of Defense confirmed on May 29 that Trooping the Colour would go as scheduled.

It was also confirmed that King Charles will attend the event amid his cancer treatment.

Instead of riding on horseback as he did in previous years, he will travel in a horse-drawn carriage with his wife, Queen Camilla.

Whether the Princess of Wales will attend the annual event has not yet been confirmed as she continues to recover from her own cancer diagnosis.
