Prince Harry and Meghan Markle feature in a new video for their charity foundation Archewell

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been blasted by Kinsey Schofield, following the release of damning new figures about their charity, Archewell.

The Foundation has reportedly lost nearly £9million ($11m) in pledges and donations in the last year alone.

The figures follow a newly released impact report and video by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as part of the Archewell Foundation.

The video is accompanied by their impact report for the year 2022 to 2023, which outlines the continued "mission" of Archewell.

In a one minute montage of the royal couple, the newly released video shows the Sussexes at various engagements throughout the year, as part of their work with the Foundation.

Archewell was named in 2020 after their four year old son, Archie, after stepping down as senior working royals.

A statement on the Archewell website reads: "We are committed to a simple but profound mission - to show up and do good.

"Our work, especially this year, has been rooted in fostering community and remaining responsive to those in need amidst the evolving challenges we encounter in today's world."

Reacting to the news of plunging donations to the Foundation, US Royal and Showbiz reporter Kinsey Schofield told GB News: "In these tax documents we see that they work like one day a week for this charity.

"No wonder people are hesitating to donate to their charity when their executive directors seem to be not as committed as certainly the Prince and Princess of Wales are to their charity endeavours."

Schofield then joked: "I would just like to note that this is the second time I've seen you this week, which means I've worked one more day than Harry and Meghan typically do for Archewell!"

Schofield then highlighted the move by the couple to defend Archewell to the media, but remain silent on Omid Scobie's controversial book, Endgame.

Schofield said: "This is interesting to me because Harry and Meghan have had somebody talk to TMZ, which is the big celebrity news site here in the States, because they want to clear the air here. They think that this story is garbage.

"They say that they are not in the red because they're not a corporation. And this is just the UK media making a big deal out of nothing.

"But interesting to me that a source close to Archewell can talk to TMZ about Archewell in the red, but I'm sorry to do this, sorry to bring it up again, but no word on Endgame."
