The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's use of private jets has been mocked

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been savagely included in a display of "holiday hypocrites" by a famous store in Los Angeles.

Kitson Los Angeles has used its window display to call out the rich and famous for the last four years.

This year the store has taken a swipe at the Duke and Duchess of Sussex over their frequent use of private jets.

A photo of Meghan and Harry with Christmas hats photoshopped onto their head has been included in the display.

Underneath the photo of the roles are screenshots of headlines from the New York Post and the Daily Mail criticising the couple's private jet use.

Royal commentator and regular contributor to GB News, Kinsey Schofield snapped a photo of the display at Kitson's Robertson Blvd location for the To Di For Daily.

In November, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex took a 40 minute private jet flight from Santa Barbara airport to watch Katy Perry's concert in Nevada, before flying back to California on the same plane.

Hollywood stars Cameron Diaz, Benji Madden and Zoe Saldana were reportedly on the same flight.

It came during the same week, Prince Harry's brother, Prince William, flew commercially from the UK to Singapore to attend his Earthshot Prize awards.

The Prince of Wales chose to fly commercially to minimise his environmental impact.

Prince Harry said in 2019 regarding taking private flights: "Occasionally, there needs to be an opportunity [to fly on private planes] based on a unique circumstance to ensure that my family are safe - it's as simple as that."

He added: "For me it's about balance. It's not a decision I would want to take, but if I have to do that, I will ensure that I balance out the impact that I have."

However, the Duke of Sussex has often been accused of hypocrisy by choosing to fly on private jets, while encouraging the public to be mindful of their environmental impact.

Meghan Markle decline to attend the landmark event and instead stayed in the US with the couple's young children Archie and Lilibet.
