Lady Louise Windsor's new role is set to "impress" Prince William in a royal shake-up, according to a source.
The 21-year-old has shown a keen interest in joining the military, as she has joined the St Andrews University Officers' Training Corps.
If Louise were to join the military, she would become the first royal woman to do so since Queen Elizabeth II.
According to an insider, this move has impressed the Prince of Wales.

The source claimed: "William's serious about making her a working royal.
"He's even prepared to give her a new title."
Louise is the eldest child of the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, but she does not perform royal duties.
She was also raised without a "Princess" title so that she could have the option to lead a normal life.
As to why Lady Louise has come to William's attention, the source continued to tell Woman's Day: "The devotion she has shown over the years will only improve after military service—she's a very impressive young lady."
The Times recently highlighted the close relationship between Prince William and his aunt, Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh.
The outlet reported: "They [the Waleses and the Edinburghs] get on very well."
A source told the publication that William was "eager for his aunt and uncle to play a more prominent role in public life."
